Consistency
by Kevin Jones

Consistency is nothing more than old fashioned Discipline … and you may also need some Accountability program in place to Monitor and Mentor.

Start off small. Let’s say ultimate goal is to do 10 things everyday and you are consistently doing zero. Prioritize … pick the most important thing and that will be the one and only focus for that day. If you can’t get through the one item in one day, break it down into smaller tasks. Once you complete it once, that’s day One!

You will need to do this One thing day in and day out for 30 days. Once this is accomplished you can move on to doing other things, not a second before. Some have been known to tie themselves to their desk, not eat lunch until the task is done! Do what you have to do to finish!

On month two add item number two on the priority list. Now you must do number one and two all the way through consistently, everyday. Any day missed you must start again at the beginning of that cycle.

Very simple, but very effective. Don’t give up for any reason, the beginning of the cycle is always the hardest … once the momentum is going it gets easier and easier!
