Peace within yourself …
How does it come about, where do you find it, why do you need it?
As we grow and as we evolve in this life we change, we change each and every day, the question is, are we changing for the good? Are we changing to meet our goals? Are we headed in the right direction? See in life we must understand and accept this one very simple truth … we are either moving forward in this life or we are moving backwards! Which way are you moving?
If you can first accept the fact that you are moving forward or backwards this is the first step of gaining peace with yourself. The second step is to know yourself inside and out. You must accept yourself, honestly and truly 100% without a shadow of a doubt in everyway, physically, mentally, spiritually, emotionally, socially, in your career, financially and most of all the person who you have become!
Why is this important? If you do not accept yourself for who you are, how do you expect anyone else to accept you either? If you are overweight, acknowledge the fact that you are overweight and accept it. Now you can make the decision to do something about it! At this point of being overweight you can eat more and gain more weight, you can continue doing what you are doing and stay the same or you can diet and exercise and loose weight! Which ever one you choose is ok as long as you are in acceptance 100% within yourself.
Now to have peace within yourself you must not only be comfortable with yourself within these areas there are a few other things to address, one of the biggest things is fear. F.E.A.R. (false evidence appearing real). Fear is something that can hold back the greatest of people, lets think about this for a moment. What should you be afraid of? Honestly, nothing. Some will say heights, spiders, water, being poor, for a whole list go here, the bottom line is that what is the worst thing that could happen to us? Some say death, lets look at that for a moment, death should not be a scary or frightening thing, it is something that will happen, we are born, we live and experience and we pass on. It is a part of life, it is the next chapter in our ever evolving circle of life. If you live each day to the fullest, there is no regret and you will be at peace with yourself and others!
Anger is another area we must look at, are you an angry person? What are you or do you get angry with or about? Now lets look at why you get angry. Many say so and so made me angry! Well lets consider this, so and so is not in our brain pushing the angry button, we are the ones that trigger these emotions, believe it or not, you do have 100% control over your actions and reactions. Some will say I just got into a fury or I just exploded! Well that is because you have gone into auto pilot in your life and are allowing yourself through your subconscious react for you. Take back your life and take control over your emotions.
Once we dont allow ourselves to get angry anymore, we loose all of our outbursts, we dont go to bed at night mad at our significant other, we dont react improperly at work, we dont make a scene in public when we dont get our way and the list can go on for pages and pages! Once the anger is lost we find peace not only within ourselves but with all around us!
True Love is very important, it is something that we should all have the opportunity to experience. Love is everywhere, it is all around us. The question is are you open to the opportunity and possibility of allowing it into your life. Many people that I have met that dont have or have nto experienced true love is because they are blocking it. They are not open to having a great relationship with another. This is a whole separate topic within itself. But in a nutshell, drop your guard, allow people in, allow them to care and share with you, allow them to do for you, and give yourself to them, be open, be free, give yourself to others tha are willing to give to you!
Happiness, what makes us happy? What do you truly enjoy? What do you do that makes you the happiest? There is something in everyones life that brings bliss! What is yours? When you have and can experience this true happiness on a regular basis it will create a feeling of warmth within you.
Spritually is a very special aspect of this whole equation. Many people think, oh you gotta go to church to be spiritual, this is so wrong from the truth! Being spiritual is from the inside out. Whether it be in a place of worship, in nature, at home, at work, yoga, meditation, it can be anywhere. How can this be? This can be because you are spiritual through your spirit which is deep down within yourself. You can have the opportunity to experience it anytime you would like, wherever you would like, however you would like. Being spiritual is the process of connecting with who you are and a higher power. This higher power is whomever or whatever you choose it to be.
There are many other areas, but for sake of time and space in this article, you take these things (and the others not mentioned) and create a balance in you life. Remember everything in moderation. Too much of any one thing can be disasterous! When you find this balance, you will be at one of your most peaceful times within yourself. The balance of these things will bring you joy, happiness, comfort and spirituality within yourself, through this you will create peace and once you have peace you will find your true meaning in life!
