What does a caterpiller have to do with me?  EVERYTHING!

A famous French naturalist named Jean Henri Fabre spent years experimenting with processionary caterpillars.  The caterpillars attach themselves to each other and move as one virtually blind.  Similarly the way many humans do.

Fabre conducted an expiment where he attached the caterpillars on a large flowerpot, one to the other and finally the first to the last.  This put them in a rotating ring with no beginning and  no end.  He watched the the woolly creatures go round and round.

Finally after seven long days the caterpillars were overtaken by exhaustion and starvation and they died together.  Any one of these creatures could have stopped at any time rested and eaten.  But they didn’t.

How is your life similar to these caterpillars?  How often are you so stuck on autopilot that you don’t look for a better way, make your own way or go a different direction?  Don’t starve and exhaust your great resources as these caterpillars did!  Open your eyes and look for the better path, open your ears and listen for the better way!

Live life to your own expectations and not everyone elses!  Be your own person, remember those dreams you had as a child … and go for them!
